Junior Sous Chef

Matakauri Lodge is located seven minutes from Queenstown and spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu. It offers twelve luxurious appointed suites and a four bedroom Owner's Cottage in a dramatic alpine location.

The right applicant will be self motivated, have good leadership qualities, be a team player and work well in a high pressure environment.

Duties include assisting the Head / Sous Chefs with the creation of daily changing breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, the day-to-day running of the kitchen including health & safety and staff welfare.

You will need to have knowledge and experience in all areas of the kitchen, flexibility and the ability to think on your feet.  Management of time, food costs, ordering and stock controls are essential for this role.

The successful applicant will bring four, or more, years previous experience to this position. In addition, you will have:
